Palworld development is continuing after Version 1.0. Pocketpair has confirmed a new roadmap that focuses on expanding the game with additional content, gameplay improvements, and quality-of-life updates throughout 2026 rather than ending support after the full release.

Palworld reached one of its biggest milestones with the launch of Version 1.0 on July 10, 2026. The update officially ended Early Access while introducing the World Tree region, the Sunreach Sky Island, dozens of new Pals, Awakening and Mutation systems, new endgame content, and major multiplayer improvements.
However, Pocketpair has made it clear that Version 1.0 is not the end of development. Instead, it marks the beginning of a new phase of live support.
According to the newly released roadmap, players can expect the following additions in future updates:
| Planned feature | What it means |
|---|---|
| New Pals | More collectible creatures with unique abilities and traits |
| New Tower Bosses | Additional endgame battles and progression challenges |
| New Weapons | Expanded combat options for players |
| New Buildings | More base-building structures and customization |
| Base Pal AI improvements | Smarter automation and better worker behavior |
| New Technologies | Additional research unlocks and progression systems |
| Quality-of-life improvements | Better UI, gameplay balance, and usability changes |
| Bug fixes and optimization | Continued performance and stability updates |
Pocketpair has not attached release dates to individual roadmap items. Instead, the studio says these features will roll out gradually in free updates after Version 1.0.
The roadmap intentionally avoids promising exact launch windows, giving the developers flexibility to prioritize stability and polish following the full release.
Version 1.0 itself already represents the largest expansion in Palworld’s history. The update roughly doubles the playable world with the World Tree and Sunreach regions, introduces 72 new Pals, raises the total roster to 287, adds Awakening and Mutation mechanics, expands multiplayer tools with voice chat and guild roles, and delivers numerous balance and performance improvements.
Pocketpair has also emphasized that development is not slowing down simply because the game has left Early Access. The team says it plans to continue expanding Palworld well beyond Version 1.0, with more content updates already in active development.

While fans are eager for features like additional regions, more multiplayer options, and larger endgame activities, these have not been officially confirmed beyond what’s listed on the roadmap. Until Pocketpair announces future update details, the published roadmap remains the best indication of what players can expect over the rest of 2026.
