OxygenOS 9.0.3 hotfix update release for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T

OnePlus 5 and 5T updates

OnePlus updated the 5 and 5T to Android 9 Pie (OxygenOS 9.0.0) late last year and a week later, the duo received an incremental update to OxygenOS 9.0.1, tagging along fixes for issues with random reboots and Wi-Fi connection.

Today, the third OxygenOS 9.0.3 update in the Pie era is rolling out to the pair and like the previous version, this is an incremental upgrade that comes to fix annoying issues found in version 9.0.2.

According to OnePlus, version 9.0.3 fixes connectivity issues with some third-party apps, 4G VoLTE toggle missing, and random reboots when screencasting; improves the stability of sound settings, system upgrade, and Wi-Fi connection; and optimizes sRGB display and Reading modes.

The new OxygenOS 9.0.3 update is rolling out over the air, which means it may take a few days before all OnePlus 5 and 5T users get the download notification. There is still no download files for the Pie-based OxygenOS, so you’ll have to wait for the OTA to arrive.

OnePlus 5 and 5T update

OnePlus is also expected to begin rolling out Android 9 Pie to the 3 and 3T in the coming weeks once it irons out all kinks from the OnePlus 5 and 5T Pie update.

  1. I’m having issues with my mobile network on this update. The connection is there, but cuts out more often than it’s on. Only messenger and WhatsApp have sporadic internet access, everything else times out.
