The Nokia 8 is receiving a new security update right now that includes a newer Android security patch. The update is available over-the-air and will take only a few minutes to install.
This isn’t a full blown software update, so you will not be seeing any new features as such. As per the change-log, the update installs the December Android security patch on the device. Apart from that, there aren’t any changes.
Nokia Android Oreo update release date
The update weighs around 97MB in size and can take up to a few days to be available for all. This is based on Android 8.0 Oreo, as the Nokia 8 received the Oreo update late last month. Other Nokia phones such as the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 would also be getting the Oreo update soon.
