New update 5.3 for Shield Tablet and Shield Tablet K1 fixes KRACK and Broadpwn Wi-Fi vulnerabilities

Nvidia is currently rolling out a new software update for its Shield Tablet as well as Shield Tablet K1. The latest update is dubbed software upgrade 5.3, and it brings fixes for two Wi-Fi security issues, the KRACK and the Broadpwn.

Besides fixing the aforementioned security flaws, the update also install the security patched up to the latest one for the month of November 2017. There’s not much to the update, except that is also fixes connectivity issues with Zagg Bluetooth Keyboards, and improves system in general.

If you own any of these tablets, then be sure to look up for the update v5.3 under Settings > System updates. Make sure the battery is higher than 50%, to be safe.
