Motorola XOOM to hit UK via Carphone Warehouse and Best buy while T-Mobile takes it up for remaining Europe

Motorola XOOM, which is all set to hit the UK stores by the end of this month, is also gearing up for the other European markets where it’s expected to be launched in the second quarter of the year — by which time iPad 2 would have also released, making it yet another interesting battle to watch out, like the Google Music v/s iTunes and the Google’s One Pass v/s Apple’s similar subscription service. Oh, the Android v/s iOS battle, by the way, will still be there, forever I guess — even if we believe what Mr. Kaspersky says.

Back to Moto XOOM, the 3G/Wi-Fi version will be sold in Europe by Deutche Telekom, but which other European countries will get the XOOM in their stores has not been outed by Moto yet.

In U.K., this Android 3.0 powered tablet will be sold by The Carphone House and Best Buy while its Wi-Fi only version will be available via Currys and PC World.

Moving on to U.S, Xoom will be available at Verizon Wireless, with 3G version making your pocket lighter by $800 (about 494 GBP). But if you’re comfortable with Wi-Fi only version, jettisoning the 3G will make the purchase cheaper by $200, at just $599.

Though the European price has not been announced — and not even rumored — yet, it sure will not come in cheap if we see the price of its counterparts in U.K and U.S.
