Moto G5 and G5 Plus release date: MWC 2017 announcement expected, new FAKE leak found!

Update [December 14, 2016]: A new leak about the Moto G5 Plus emerged today, revealing its specs and some of the blurriest images we’ve ever seen. Turns out all of this is fake, but you can catch the latest Moto G5 Plus leak here.

Update [December 03, 2016]: This turns out to be a fake news. It’s the Moto G4 Plus and G4 you see in the above pic, coming from the Lenovo website, but modified using ‘Inspect element’ trickery to make it look like G5 specs and all. So, no Moto G5 renders or specs and anything here.

Original content: Well, we just got our hands on some juicy images of a new Motorola device, and it’s supposedly Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Yep, that’s pretty early even for a leak, but we have some specs, images and release date rumored out here.

The release date of the Moto G5 and G5 Plus is said to be March 8, but it’s mentioned where would that happen — India, China?

Specs-wise, the Moto G5 and G5 plus are said to feature 5.5″ display at Full HD resolution, and are powered by an octa-core processor. Both sets have 5MP cam in the front, while at the back, G5 sports 13MP while G5 Plus rocks a 16MP camera.

Only the G5 Plus will come with 32GB variant it seems, while both will start as 16GB storage. Turbo charging will make it to features list too for both devices, but it seem fingerprint scanner is exclusive to G5 Plus. Both sets should launch with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed as Motorola is already testing the 7.0 build for G4 Plus. Motorola is about to rollout Nougat update for Moto Z global variant, while in the US, the Verizon’s Moot Z Droid and Droid Force already rock Android 7.0.

We think more details are about to drop by.

Thanks Vijay for the tip!
