Moto G4 Android Nougat release in Germany set for January end

NerdsChalk Staff

German users of the Moto G4 are in for a treat, with the update to Nougat getting ready to roll out by this month end. Unfortunately this isn’t a direct upgrade to Android 7.1.1 but to Android 7.0 instead.

Indian owners of the Moto G4 and G4 Plus had long back gotten the update to Nougat, so Motorola should be covering more countries by now following Germany. Nougat for the flagship Moto Z has also hit Canada and India with OTA rolling out.

The other Motorola devices in line for the Android 7.0 Nougat update are the Moto X pure, Moto Z Play and the Moto G4 Play.

If you haven’t seen the update pop up on your smartphone, head over to Settings -> About phone and check manually for a system update.
