Finally, users of Xiaomi Mi 5s can speak the same language as their Mi 5 counterparts – Android Oreo. Months after the latter got the nod, it has taken Xiaomi up to November 2018 to avail the Oreo update to the Mi 5s courtesy of the latest MIUI 10 beta 8.11.8.
The update is rolling out over the air and a download firmware for manual installation is also available. We expect the same to be true for the superior Mi 5s Plus once the latest MIUI 10 beta version arrives. As of now, the device is still on the previous version 8.11.1.

Also on the receiving end of Android Oreo is the budget Redmi 5, but unlike the Mi 5s, the former is getting the newer Oreo 8.1 as opposed to the latter’s v8.0. But like its counterpart, we also have a download link for this update for the Redmi 5.
