A Huawei Mate 20 Pro unboxing video leaks a day ahead of the launch

Ahead of Huawei’s big unveiling of the Mate 20 series, an unboxing video for the Mate 20 Pro showed up online.

While the link was posted by well-known industry insider Roland Quandt, he did not do the unboxing himself. Instead, the video was shot by Estonian tech enthusiast, nymmik. Yes, indeed the video is in Estonian with no subtitles, so you probably won’t be able to understand what he is saying about the phone.

However, we do get to take a pretty good look at the gorgeous Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which appears to be just as the leaks have depicted it. The reviewer is obviously holding the Twilight variant. The gradient effect is visible and so is the uniquely arranged tri-camera setup on the back.

Other than that, the video shows the process of setting up the in-display fingerprint scanner which is exclusive to the Mate 20 Pro. The standard Mate 20, on the other hand, will feature a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is expected to be the firm’s most premium smartphone to date, that will be sold for an equally premium price tag. According to leaker Roland Quandt, the 6GB/128GB version is set to retail for 899 GBP (or Rs. 87,202 / $1,182) in the UK.
