Some cool, new details about the Huawei Mate 20 series leak out

Huawei’s date with the press is getting nearer, but in the meantime, countless leaks are building up the hype for the upcoming Mate 20 series. And here’s a new one for you.

In recent days one of the editors at XDA Developers decided to take another look at the Huawei Mate 20 firmware (obtained via FunkyHuawei.club) and so uncovered new details about the two smartphones.

Easy Projection 2.0

Last year, Huawei introduced a feature called Easy Projection with the Mate 10. This allowed users to turn the device into a desktop without the use of extra accessory apart from the adapter.

Well this year, Easy Projection is going to get an upgrade. It will work over a 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi connection and the report indicates that users will be able to choose between two wireless projection modes including Desktop and Phone mode.

In Desktop mode, users will be allowed to connect a keyboard and mouse for an experience akin to the one you’d get on a desktop. While in Phone mode, the device simply projects its display’s content.

According to the report, the tool will now be able to distinguish certain foods and even the caloric content of some food items. Not only that, but the app might be able to provide Calcium, Cholesterol, Iron, Fats (and more) readings.

HiVision will also be able to recognize landmarks, paintings, goods and help you with trips. What’s more, the app with the help of Microsoft Translator will be able to translate text in real-time.

The report reveals that the Mate 20 might arrive with a 6.53-inch TFT notched display with 1080 x 2244 resolution and a 4,000 mAh battery. While the Mate 20 Pro variant should boast a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen and a 4,200 mAh battery.
