Huawei Android Q update roadmap for the UK leaks out

Huawei Logo

We just know that Huawei will do its best to update its phones to Android Q, mainly because of the software worries that grew recently because of the ban handed by the US to the company.

As such, what Huawei devices get Android Q and when is of much importance than any Android OS update release by Huawei, ever. Today, we get a hint of which Huawei devices, at least in the UK, will get an update to Android Q, and EMUI 10 which will be part of the Huawei’s Q software.

A screenshot shared by Redditor Bandit6888 reportedly comes from an employee that works at CarPhone Warehouse, a popular retailer in the country, who have received an internal list of the Huawei phones that will be treated to Android Q.

Sure, this may easily turn out to be fake, but the past has told us that these leaks often come out true. There’s no telling on the authenticity of this one, but we felt it was good enough to be shared with you guys.

So, here’s a list of devices from the leak.

  • P30 Pro

Huawei Android Q roadmap

So, there are 17 devices in total that are rumored to be in the lineup to Android Q and EMUI 10.

It’s good to see that the Mate 10 series is part of the Android Q update roadmap because this means that while the Galaxy Note 8 doesn’t get beyond Android Pie, the Mate 10 sets will, despite launching at the around same time. Samsung launched the Note 8 with Android Nougat even when Oreo was out, so its support for two major Android OS updates ends with Android Pie. While, Huawei is updating the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro with Android Q too, having launched the device with Oreo, unlike Samsung’s Note 8.
