HTC One M7 next in line for Lollipop Update Release

HTC One M7 Lollipop Update Release

A leaked HTC Lollipop update road-map has both One M8 and One M7 set for release of Android 5.0 update this month. We’ve already seen HTC One M8 (unlocked and developer editions) get its share of the sweet new Android Lollipop, and since we also know we’re in the middle of January, we fully expect the Lollipop update to arrive on HTC One M7 sets too in a week or two’s time.

The Lollipop update for HTC One M7 will also come topped with Sense 6.0 custom skin of the company, which we know from One M8 build that it’s looking very neat, worthy of being tagged along the Lollipop update.

HTC One M7 could very soon be seen playing with new Recent Tasks menu, as also other cool material design effects. Android 5.0 is the most lovely and beautiful Android update to date, which it should be because it is the latest update.

Apart from HTC, we also expect the LG to update its last year’s flagship device, the G2 (first device to sport volume rocker and power button on its back), with the Android 5.0 update, as we’ve already seen G2 running Lollipop quite smoothly. Today, another Samsung Galaxy S5 set by model no. G900I got to taste Lollipop as its builds were seen online. Popular LTE variant of Galaxy S5, model no. G900F, has already received Lollipop update quite a while ago.

While Motorola has beaten HTC, LG, Sony and Samsung by good measure by updating its Moto X 2nd gen within weeks of Google releasing the Android 5.0 update, its mid-range devices like Moto G 1st and 2nd gen are also receiving the Android 5.0 update now, while there is no scene of any HTC or Samsung handset from a mid or mid-high range receiving Android 5.0 update anytime soon — we can only hope for February release for devices that are not top end.

Speaking of which, HTC devices stuck somewhere between mid- to top-end segment are also in line for Lollipop update. HTC One E8, Desire Eye, One M8 Eye and Buttefly 2 are set to receive Android 5.0 in February ’15, while March ’15 could see Lollipop rollout for HTC ONE Max, HTC MT Dual sim, HTC Desire 816, HTC Desire 820u, HTC One M8 Mini, One E8 China and One M8 Eye China.
