A new HTC smartphone touted to be its 2017 flagship device has been spotted online with its detailed specsheet. Nicknamed Ocean, the phone carries all high-end features and is rumored to get listed by April-end. But what caught our attention is a new feature called ‘Edge Sense’.
The news was spotted by reliable tipster Evan Blass on a Chinese mobile site which describes the Edge Sense as “Sense Touch official name of the edge touch.” Obviously, this description does not get any clearer. To put it in a more lucid way, ‘Sense Touch’ feature enables the outer frame of the phone to perform certain actions in apps when touched. Well, in that case, this isn’t the first time the ‘Edge Sense’ feature has appeared online.

HTC Ocean has been in the news since last year. In fact, a video leaked way back in September last year showed the device featuring touch-sensitive side bezels. Only that, it has got a name now, that of ‘Edge Sense’.

Other features of HTC Ocean revealed in the leak are 5.5- inch screen, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or 6GB RAM, 64GB ROM, Sense AI Assistant, mobile VR support and USB Type-C charging. It is said to be shipped with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
If the above specsheet is true, HTC Ocean will turn out to be a killer device giving other flagship smartphones a tough time. (Yes, we are hinting at Galaxy S8 and LG G6!)
