How to turn off music automatically on Android

stop music automatically

Many of us have a knack for listening to their favorite, calming tunes before going off to bed. People, who generally have a hard time calming themselves down, take comfort in their collection of songs, eventually dozing off.

Now, going to your favorite music app and hitting your favorite playlist is obviously no biggie, but overnight music sessions can really take a toll on your device’s battery. There’s an easy solution to this, too, right? Just turn off the music before dozing off, and you’re good to go. However, if that “solution” above doesn’t seem very feasible, there’s a nifty little app you could try to untangle the situation.

Sleep Timer is a free app on Google Play, which does exactly what’s advertised. It allows you to listen to your favorite music without worrying about overnight battery penalties. The app allows you to set a timer, which, after running out, fades and switches off your music, making sure your music app doesn’t keep draining the battery when you’re not conscious enough to pay attention.

You can also extend the timer (default is 10 minutes) if needed, toggle on Shake Extend, launch a couple of popular music apps from the app itself, and even choose where the app will go (default is Home screen).
