Your Map screen lists WELCOME TO MANHATTAN – Help with the Mapping Pylon under Main Story: Contain the Crisis – Welcome to Manhattan. Zoe wants you to help the FBC cartography team, so look for them near a mapping pylon in Downtown.
Follow the rooftop route to the Mapping Pylon

Climb to the first sensor
Climb onto the metal container, jump to the nearby brick building roof and use the displayed L1 prompt at the dish. Its beacon turns green.

Meet Thorne at the pylon
Cross the rooftops toward the green signal smoke and speak with Maintenance Worker Thorne beside the central Mapping Pylon.

Calibrate the second sensor
Jump across the gap to the rooftop marked by a red beacon and interact with its dish. The indicator changes from red to green.

Reach the basketball court
Climb the wooden water tower and scale the adjoining brick wall to reach a higher rooftop, then jump and float across the alley toward the rooftop court.

Calibrate the third sensor
Drop into the fenced court and use the displayed L1 prompt at the dish near the hoop to finish the sensor set.

Activate the central pylon
Jump and climb back to Thorne’s rooftop, then use the displayed L1 prompt at the central console.
Find Thorne and calibrate the red-beacon sensor
Some pylons were blown off course. Thorne’s platform is the one marked by green signal smoke; the red beacon marks the next sensor rooftop.
If the central console displays “Tower Offline: Calibration Required,” calibrate all three sensors before trying it again.
Reach the basketball court sensor
The court sits on a lower rooftop across the alley. Its fence and basketball hoop distinguish the landing area, with the final dish close to the hoop.
Activate the pylon and view the Downtown map
Activate the pylon to reveal Downtown’s map. The pylon deploys and transmits mapping data, then you can bring up the world map to see the newly uncovered layout and landmarks such as Resonant Ruins, Omni Parking, Cleary Square and Red Spade Plaza.
You get more than the map. Activating the Downtown Mapping Pylon awards +1 Talent Point and +1 Undefined Reading, while raising the zone to Downtown level 2.
Find another Mapping Pylon? Give it priority. Each zone has a pylon, and finding and activating it reveals that zone’s map so you can see its layout.
