Pause notifications in Slack with your Status change
While statuses are a great way of letting people know about your schedule and current availability, they have no real impact on your own workflow. Notifications aren’t silenced, calls are let through and most importantly, if you are having an important meeting or call then you can be interrupted by these people. All of this can be fixed with Slack’s latest feature update that now allows you to pause notifications with every status change.
This way you can not only notify your team members about your current status but also pause notifications till you see fit. This can be quite useful if you are currently busy and trying to avoid contact with anyone as all your notifications will be silenced until you change your status again and unmute your notifications.
