There’s no shortage of apps that let you share videos with others without audio. But if you’re chatting with someone on WhatsApp and come to realize that you need to share a video with audio muted, then it can be tedious to find a video editor to mute the sound and then send it on WhatsApp, more so switching back and forth between apps for editing and all.
Fortunately, WhatsApp lets you mute a video before sharing it without having to resort to a gallery app to edit out the video sound.
How to Mute video before sharing on WhatsApp
- Open a WhatsApp chat, tap on attach files (clip icon) in the message field, and select a video from your gallery.
- Or capture a video from within WhatsApp itself by tapping on the camera icon.
- Once selected, you will see a volume icon near the top left corner. Tap on it to mute the video and, finally, share your video.
And that’s about it. Muting a video on WhatsApp is a breeze and makes sharing soundless videos a seamless affair.
