Huawei is rolling out a new update to the Honor View 10, which is also known as Honor V10 in other markets. The update comes with software version 8.0.0.170 and is based on EMUI 8.0 and Android 8.0 Oreo, the OS that powers the phone out of the box.

As part of the update, the Honor View 10 is receiving the much-awaited GPU Turbo feature that aims to improve graphics processing efficiency for an enhanced gaming experience. The changelog also mentions of the addition of artificial image stabilization, which, of course, has everything to do with the AI technology that Huawei has been pushing to the smartphone industry so much lately.
This is an OTA update, so it will take time before all Honor View 10 units get the download notification. So far, the update has been reported by users of model BKL-L09, but of course, other variants will join the party sooner than later. You can either wait or try forcing the update via the Settings menu.
For those interested, the Honor View 10 has a place on Huawei’s Android 9 beta testing program. For details of how to join, follow this link.
