Animated GIFs are pretty handy as they convey your emotion in a funny way. But, sharing the GIFs was not an easy task so long. Now, the condition has changed as it is possible to share animated GIFs similar to how you share emoticons and stickers.
Well, Google has rolled out an update to its standalone SMS and MMS app, Google Messenger. The new update brings about a couple of new features, a few bug fixes and some performance improvements as well. The support to send animated GIF via MMS is one such feature brought in by the update.
If you have the updated Google Messenger app, you can share animated GIFs from your local storage with your friends. You can also view those GIFs that you have received and save them in your device’s gallery.
In addition to this animated GIF support, the update to Google Messenger brings about a new widget that will let you view and access your conversations from your home screen. Those users who are not fond of the Google’s Hangouts app can download the Google Messenger app for ease of use and love of Material design.
