After rolling out AI powered Assistant to non-Pixel devices in the US earlier this week, Google has taken it up north to Canada as well. Smartphone users with Android Marshmallow or above versions of OS have reported receiving the Google Assistant on their devices.

Confirmation from Google also came in via its Twitter handle. The Google Assistant update is being pushed as a part of Google Play Services OTA. The erstwhile Google Pixel exclusive Assistant might take a while before it appears on your device as it is being rolled out in a phased manner, as is the usual case with Google updates.

Google recently stated that it will no longer keep the AI limited to Pixel phones and will start pushing it out to all Android devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow and above versions of Android. LG G6 became the first non Google smartphone to flaunt the Google Assistant AI alongwith the new Android powered Nokia lineup.

Google also plans to add support for additional languages other than English for the Assistant. According to a report, the Google Assistant may soon be available in Korean language. As of now, the Google Assistant is only available in English and German languages.
