Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users in Canada, using Rogers, will soon get the Android Nougat update. As you can seen in the screenshot above, the Rogers update pipeline shows the Nougat update slated as ‘coming soon.’
Although several international variants of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have already received the update, some regions are yet to enjoy Nougat. We told you yesterday that Singapore would be getting the update in a few months, and that a few US carriers have started testing the update.
Now, users in Canada with a Rogers locked S7 or S7 Edge, would be getting the update soon. This means that the update is probably finished testing and is on its final stage before being released to the masses.
An exact date isn’t known, but you can expect the Nougat update to be available by the end of February. The Chinese variants would also be getting the update some time this month.
4 weeks later, we’re still waiting Rogers..

I’d highly suggest to buy G930FD (G935FD) version instead of Canadian G930W8 (G935W8). Facing Multicultural environment in Canada, Samsung decided to remove ALL languages from firmware of full priced unlocked phones except of English, French, Chinese and Korean. Security patches are rare and delayed. And G930FD is rocking Nougat for couple of months now, while overpriced Canadian version is still on Marshmallow. No Samsung Pay (except of CIBC) either.
