The rope bridge exit is just as risky because the ball can fall all the way down if it slips off near the end. Move slowly there, and avoid jumping off the drawbridge while carrying the ball.
With two players, station one person ahead of the bridge or near the drawbridge exit so they can take the ball from the carrier. That handoff can prevent a failed crossing from sending someone all the way back toward the green tower.
