QUICK ANSWER
You can respec a character by unlocking Mikoto in the Ancient Civilization Zone, then calling him from the Communicator on the Cleanse Walker and paying Amber to reset that character’s attributes and refundable skills.

Respec unlocks in the Kanto Region once the Ancient Civilization Zone story brings Mikoto into your Cleanse Walker routine. The reset is character-specific, so handle Emma and Koo one at a time instead of wiping both builds together.

When respec becomes available

Requirement What
Unlock area Reach Ancient Civilization Zone in the Kanto Region.
Main story progress Advance Power the Gate / Lightning Stone until the golem fight near Raging River.
Mikoto Finish the encounter that makes Mikoto available for respec.
Cleanse Walker Fast travel back once Mikoto is available.
Communicator Use the wall Communicator near the exit.
Amber Bring enough Amber for the selected character’s reset.

Reach the Ancient Civilization Zone and keep pushing the main campaign until the Power the Gate / Lightning Stone objective sends you into the fight near Raging River. The enemy label varies between thief golem and Level 12 Agile Golem, and route callouts also refer to it as the electric-sword fight near Raging River. Finish that encounter to trigger Mikoto’s respec access.

KEY!

After Mikoto’s scene and the fight resolve, return to the Cleanse Walker. The Communicator near the exit is then used to call Mikoto and open the reset menu for Emma or Koo.

What Mikoto refunds

Reset Result
Attribute Points Spent points in Strength, Vitality, and Florescence return for the selected character.
Core Skill Points Refundable lower-half skills return, including paths such as Emma’s Tracking Shot, Hair, Entanglement and Koo’s Guard, Pounce, Incantation.
Blade Arts and Bloom Arts Top-branch upgrades for Emma’s Blade Arts and Koo’s Bloom Arts stay spent in Update 1.004.

A Mikoto reset returns the selected character’s spent Attribute Points across Strength, Vitality, and Florescence. It also refunds Skill Points from the core parts of the skill trees, so you can rebuild the route you chose earlier.

Top-branch Arts upgrades are permanent investments. Mikoto’s reset is excellent for fixing attribute spreads and core skill routes, but it does not undo every Skill Point you have spent.

How Amber pricing works

Every reset costs Amber, including the first one, and you can repeat the process as long as you can pay. The price comes from the selected character’s current attribute investment, not the number of Skill Points being returned.

The cost formula is 100 Amber per invested Attribute Point. Reset screens show different prices because Emma and Koo can have different current builds: 800 Amber for Koo or 900 Amber for Emma are build-based examples, not fixed fees for every save.

QUICK WIN

If Amber is tight, check both Emma and Koo’s reset screens before paying and spend on the character whose current build needs the bigger correction.

Reset mistakes that waste Amber

Bring Amber before opening Mikoto’s menu, and remember that the SP refund does not cover every skill upgrade. Top-branch Blade Arts and Bloom Arts choices stay outside the refund pool.

The menu is not split into separate skills-only or attributes-only toggles. A reset rolls the selected character’s attributes and refundable skills together, and Emma and Koo’s shared Skill Point planning means overspending after the rebuild can leave the other character short.
