Apple announced at its WWDC 2025 keynote that public beta versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and its other software updates will be released in July. This follows the developer beta versions that became available immediately after the June 10 presentation.

The company unveiled its new "Liquid Glass" design philosophy at the event, which will inform the next decade of software development across Apple's platforms. This new design language appears in iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and other software updates announced at the conference.

For iOS 26, Apple introduced several new features including polls and custom backgrounds in Messages, Apple Cash support in group chats, and a redesigned Photos app that's now split into Library and Collections tabs. Apple Intelligence has been expanded with a new Live Translate feature that can automatically translate texts and phone calls in real time.

iPadOS 26 continues to blur the line between iPad and Mac with the addition of a top menu bar, enhanced app windowing, and other desktop-like features that make the tablet more capable for productivity tasks.

macOS Tahoe brings an overhauled Spotlight interface along with other improvements that were showcased during the keynote. Additional updates were also announced for watchOS 26, visionOS 26, tvOS 26, and AirPods.
