It has been a tough wait for LG V40 users, especially those in the US. They had to wait for a long time to see LG roll out Pie for any of their devices, let alone LG V40.
The company began rolling out Android Pie for any European or US handsets only this month, which is lame when you consider OnePlus was done updating the OnePlus 6, 6T, 5 and 5T to Android Pie by December 2019, and even Samsung distributed Pie for its Galaxy S9, Note 9, S8 and Note 8 by March 2019.
The only silver lining to the whole LG Pie update project is that right now, only one company is generating headlines for rolling out Android Pie update, whatever good that is.
While the AT&T and European LG V40 users have had their taste of Android 9 OTA update already this month, today is the turn of T-Mobile V40 users to get some share of pie.
Various users over at Reddit and XDA have confirmed receiving Android 9 Pie today. The update is rolling out as an OTA right now even though either of LG and T-Mobile is yet to confirm the update. Though, we should be hearing soon from T-Mobile here, where they did tell us last month that the update was close to release.
LG is expected to roll out Android Pie for LG G7 users in Canada this month, while for those at AT&T, their LG V35 is also being treated to Android Pie update.
