LG is done with Android Oreo updates for its 2017 flagship phones, the LG V30 and LG G6. Not so long ago, the company started rolling out Oreo update for the LG V20 and it appears another 2016 handset has just started getting the same update.

Reports from Korea reveal that LG G5 Oreo update is now rolling out as software version F700S30d and with it comes the latest Android security patch for the month of August 2018. This is the second major OS upgrade for the G5, meaning it won’t be updated to Android Pie.

It took about a month between the release of LG V20 Oreo update in Korea and on American carrier AT&T. Granted, we are looking at an end-of-September release date for the G5 Oreo update in the U.S., but other regions with the unlocked model could receive the update in the next couple of weeks.
