AT&T Xperia ion owners are in for a treat today, as the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update has finally started rolling out for the device. Android 4.0 brings new features such as hardware acceleration for apps and the interface, enhanced browser, advanced mobile data usage management, improved notifications, face unlock, and many more.
According to Sony, the update will also bring speed improvements to Wi-Fi and Mobile Hotspot, several calendar and e-mail status indication enhancements, improved visuals in Street View in Google Maps, as well as improved performance in the YouTube app when rotating between portrait and landscape views.
