Grounded 2’s Into the Abyss update adds 10 new trinkets: Reflex Guard, Feasting Fangs, Tickled Toenail, Speed Droplet, Frozen Droplet, Toxicology Token, Ranger Token, Biomedical Token, The Crown Jewel, and Sticky Fingers.
The Into the Abyss update spreads these trinkets across Brainpower unlocks, creature loot, body pickups, and one gum stash hidden deep in the Abyss. Some are build-defining, some are farming tools, and a few come with drawbacks that make them much more situational.

Into the Abyss trinket list
| Trinket | How to get it | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Reflex Guard | Reach Brainpower Level 11, then craft it. | Improves defense and adds Bargain Block. |
| Feasting Fangs | Loot Ticks. | Improves lifesteal weapon healing and crit chance. |
| Tickled Toenail | Steal or loot it from Toe Biter Leviathan or Papa Toe Biter. | Adds infection and slashing damage on the third combo hit. |
| Speed Droplet | Equip Sticky Fingers and punch Aphids. | Gives Quickness for faster running. |
| Frozen Droplet | Equip Sticky Fingers and steal it from Woolly Aphids. | Adds Minty Dodge, releasing a fresh blast after dodging. |
| Toxicology Token | Loot the body inside the blue brick on south Skunk Pond land. | Gives gag resistance and Dust Guard, but lowers venom resistance. |
| Ranger Token | Glide to the body platform on the north side of Skunk Pond. | Boosts attack damage, but adds Imperfect Block. |
| Biomedical Token | Loot the chair body in Abyss Outpost #1. | Gives trickle regen by draining hunger. |
| The Crown Jewel | Pick it up in the north Skunk Pond masked stranger cave or craft it. | Adds smashing damage and extra damage on block break. |
| Sticky Fingers | Blow up the gum on the far north Rocky Chamber cinder block. | Lets hits steal items from enemy loot pools. |
Key For a clean collection route, get Sticky Fingers before chasing the two droplet trinkets, then decide whether your build needs defense, lifesteal, infection, smashing damage, or one of the token tradeoffs.
Get Sticky Fingers before any droplet farm; it is the trinket that lets Aphids and Woolly Aphids give you Speed Droplet and Frozen Droplet.
Reflex Guard unlock, recipe, and use
| Requirement | Item |
|---|---|
| Unlock | Brainpower Level 11 |
| Crafting menu | Armor section |
| Recipe | 1 Striped Scorpion Chunk, 3 Sturdy Plating, 2 Crushed Quartz |
Reflex Guard is the defensive craftable trinket from this set. Raise Brainpower by analyzing new resources in the Resource Analyzer, then craft it from the armor crafting flow once level 11 is available.
Use it when you expect to block often. Bargain Block makes guarded hits easier on stamina, so Reflex Guard fits shield-heavy or cautious melee play especially well.
Feasting Fangs tick farm and lifesteal use

Feasting Fangs comes from Ticks, so the farm is simple: kill them, loot them, and repeat. Exact drop and steal rates are not surfaced, so improve your odds before committing to a long farm.
Rub a stuffed Tick first, then wear the Lucky Hat while looting. That setup is the best supported way to push the farm in your favor.
The payoff is Vampiric Hunger, which improves healing and crit chance when you use a lifesteal weapon. It pairs naturally with the new tick weapon and the Tiger Mosquito Rapier.
Tickled Toenail from Toe Biters
Tickled Toenail is tied to the big Toe Biter targets: Toe Biter Leviathan and Papa Toe Biter. You can get it through stealing or regular looting from those enemies.
Its effect rewards full melee strings. The third hit of a combo deals infection and slashing damage, and that extra hit scales with attack power.
That makes Toenail Cutlass and Cutlass-style builds the cleanest fit. The harder your combo finisher hits, the better this trinket feels.
Speed Droplet from Aphids

Speed Droplet returns as an Aphid steal. Equip Sticky Fingers, punch Aphids, and keep trying until the steal gives you the trinket.
It gives Quickness, making it a movement-speed pick rather than a combat centerpiece. Expect a heavy RNG farm, because each punch is only a chance.
Frozen Droplet from Woolly Aphids
Frozen Droplet uses the same stealing logic, but the target is Woolly Aphids. This is harder than Speed Droplet because Woolly Aphids are fewer, fast, and can freeze you while you try to tag them.
When equipped, Frozen Droplet gives Minty Dodge. Dodging releases a fresh blast around you that chills nearby enemies.
The effect has a recharge timer, so it is not something you can spam every dodge in combat. Treat it as a spacing tool with burst value, not a constant aura.
Toxicology Token at south Skunk Pond

Toxicology Token is on land at the south side of Skunk Pond. Look inside the blue brick, find the body, and loot it for the token.
The upside is gag resistance plus Dust Guard, which makes it useful into gag-heavy enemies such as a Stinkbug or Green Shield Bug. The downside is lower venom resistance, so venom threats like Wolf Spider become more punishing if they land hits.
Dust Guard may also matter for pollen or Blue Butterfly wing-style dust effects, but the stronger use case is still the gag-resistance matchup. Do not let that upside blind you to the venom penalty.
Ranger Token on the north Skunk Pond ledge
Ranger Token is a high-risk damage trinket found on a body platform near the north side of Skunk Pond.
What you need first
Start from the north side

Get onto the wall or nearby high ground above Skunk Pond.
Jump and glide

Sprint off the height, using a spider buggy if you want extra launch speed.
Aim for the body platform

Turn toward the small platform as you descend.
Land cleanly

Adjust before touchdown so you do not drop past the ledge.
Loot the body

Take the Ranger Token from the body.
Ranger Token boosts attack damage, but Imperfect Block removes perfect blocking. That is a severe combat tradeoff in Grounded 2, so only use it if your build is built around raw damage and you are comfortable losing clean block timing.
Biomedical Token in Abyss Outpost #1
Biomedical Token requires Abyss access. Go to Abyss Outpost #1, find the body sitting in the chair inside the outpost, and loot it.
The effect package is trickle regen and food conversion. You heal over time, but your hunger drains constantly to fuel that healing.
That makes it awkward for long trips unless you are carrying enough food to cover the drain. It can keep health moving upward, but the hunger cost is the real price of using it.
The Crown Jewel at the masked stranger cave
| Method | What |
|---|---|
| Pickup | Clear the north Skunk Pond masked stranger cave and grab it from the table. |
| Crafting | Use a Forbidden Workbench with Snake Scale, Spicy Glob, and Mint Glob. |
The Crown Jewel is found around the north side of Skunk Pond, inside the masked stranger area. Clear the O.R.C. Pincher Earwig enemies, follow the cave path, and take the trinket from the table at the end.
Its Smashing Attack adds smashing damage to weapon attacks, scaling with attack power. It also deals extra smashing damage when you break a foe’s block, making it a strong fit for high-attack-power smashing builds.
Sticky Fingers in the Rocky Chamber
Sticky Fingers is one of the most important trinkets in the update because it turns hits into steal chances. That steal can pull normal drops, trinkets, and the two droplet trinkets from the right targets.
What you need first
Enter the Abyss

Head into the Abyss and move toward the Rocky Chamber.
Go far north

Push to the far north side of the chamber until you reach the large cinder block.
Climb onto the cinder block

Get on top and look for the gum stuck there.
Place the Croakwurst

Set a Croakwurst directly on the gum.
Detonate the Croakwurst

Use a Harpoon if you brought one so you can trigger the blast from range.
Pick up Sticky Fingers

Collect Sticky Fingers after the gum breaks.
Once equipped, hitting an enemy gives you a chance to steal from its loot pool. For Aphids and Woolly Aphids, that steal mechanic is what makes Speed Droplet and Frozen Droplet obtainable.
Best Into the Abyss trinkets to use
| Trinket | Best use |
|---|---|
| Sticky Fingers | Rare loot farming, especially Speed Droplet and Frozen Droplet. |
| Reflex Guard | Blocking builds that want better stamina economy. |
| Feasting Fangs | Lifesteal weapons such as the tick weapon or Tiger Mosquito Rapier. |
| The Crown Jewel | Smashing builds and high attack-power weapons. |
| Tickled Toenail | Toenail Cutlass and slash-focused combo builds. |
| Speed Droplet | Traversal and movement-speed loadouts. |
| Frozen Droplet | Dodge-based chill bursts with recharge downtime. |
| Toxicology Token | Gag-resistance matchups where venom is not the threat. |
| Ranger Token | Raw damage setups that can live without perfect blocks. |
| Biomedical Token | Regeneration setups with enough food to cover hunger drain. |
The best pick depends on whether you are farming, blocking, healing through lifesteal, or stacking attack-power scaling. The token trinkets ask for more caution because their downsides can hurt more than their bonuses help.
For most players, Sticky Fingers, Reflex Guard, Feasting Fangs, The Crown Jewel, and Tickled Toenail are the most broadly useful. The three tokens are worth keeping, but they are not automatic equips.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you get Speed Droplet or Frozen Droplet without Sticky Fingers?
No. Sticky Fingers is required because those droplets come from stealing, not standard creature loot.
Which new trinket should you collect first?
Collect Sticky Fingers first if you plan to finish the set, because it opens the path to both droplet farms.
Are the token trinkets worth using despite their drawbacks?
They are situational. Toxicology Token, Ranger Token, and Biomedical Token can solve specific problems, but each one asks you to accept a meaningful penalty.
