A month after the first Galaxy S8 Oreo update rolled out, Samsung started dishing out the same dessert to the Galaxy Note 8. The update has since spread wings to multiple markets across the globe, including the U.S. and India, among others.
However, software updates take time, sometimes days or weeks, and in cases of major OS upgrades, months before they arrive on all units in question. This is perhaps the reason your Galaxy Note 8 is still running on Android Nougat close to three months since the device started receiving Oreo.

While you can always sit back and wait for the OTA notification to show up on your phone, there’s an alternative route you can take and this route is why we have prepared this post. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy Note 8 has multiple variants sold in different markets. Each variant has a specific model number. Before downloading the firmware, make sure that the software version in question matches the phone’s model number.

Don’t wish for things you don’t want people. The Oreo update is unstable and has blocked all notification badges. Samsung is aware of this issue and has done nothing about it.
