Farm War Fans and refine the starting weapon
Refiner Hagane’s forge uses Refinement Ore, Mythic Refinement Ore and cash to raise War Fans’ level and stats. The Refine screen shows each attempt’s success chance, and refinement carries into weapon upgrades, so work on the regular weapon while you farm. Higher levels can take repeated attempts.
Upgrade War Fans through Damascus to Firstlight
At Blacksmith Togane, crafting Damascus War Fans requires 500 Metal Scrap, 300 Silk Thread, one regular War Fans, 90,000 Tower Points and 10 Mythic Refinement Ore. Progressing through Ouwigahara Tower supplies the Tower Points needed for this craft.
To craft Firstlight War Fans, take Damascus War Fans and the schematic to Ouwland, together with Firstlight Star Ore, Firstlight Forged Ingot and Firstlight Weaver Silk. All three materials can drop from World Event chests or Ouwigahara Tower chests, though the drop chance is higher in tower chests. Tower runs therefore advance both your Damascus craft and your later farming for Firstlight materials. Keep using and refining your current fans while working toward those upgrades.

Complete the Firstlight War Fans schematic quest
Lucy’s quest starts the longer unlock chain. Its objective tracker separates “Horrifies Bears” from “Bear Cubs Hunted”, so finish each objective it presents before returning to collect the cooked reward. After the supply delivery opens Iceveil Settlement, keep the Shovel: dig the marked snowbank beside the last house south of Lynx’s shop to obtain the Firstlight War Fans Schematic.
The conversations run in order through Giyori, Dock Master Sofen, Old Trapper Retsu and Lynx. Retsu’s stone lantern and the Mother Bear area help pinpoint the northwest leg of the search; the schematic appearing after the dig is your completion signal.
Assemble damage gear and adjust for survival
Build your damage equipment around Nightfall Mask, then add Stone Haori, Bamboo Muzzle and Demonic Lantern as you obtain them. Their damage bonuses work with Evil Arts generally, while the health and stamina bonuses help across repeated fights. The lantern also lights nighttime farming.

At Blacksmith Togane, the displayed Nightfall Mask T1 recipe uses three Nightfall Forged Ingot, three Nightfall Weaver Silk and two Nightfall Reinforced Plating, with a displayed cost of 1,000,000. Nightfall Mask can later be upgraded to Tier 2 and Tier 3 using Nightfall materials, including Reinforced Plating.
Look for Ouwigahara Tower equipment offering +2 Additional Damage to fill compatible open slots; examples include Red Oni Mask, Nichirin Lantern, Demonic Horns II or Silver Fang Mask. Choose an item that fits your available slot. If later dungeon floors are wearing you down, swap one or two damage items for tower equipment that provides health, damage reduction or health regeneration. As your collection grows, you can also review damage pieces through Inventory and Archives.
Choose Kamado and equip damage titles
Kamado is the clan target for this setup: it brings health, stamina, Additional Damage Factor, damage reduction and recovery abilities. It is difficult to obtain, so keep progressing while accumulating spins or Mythic Ore. Agatsuma is a damage-oriented alternative during that climb.
You can equip three titles. Until the stronger titles unlock, use the damage titles you already own and replace them as you progress. Cryokinesis Perfected is selectable in the title selection menu.

Develop mastery and a sustainable skill tree
When building the skill tree, prioritize Max Stamina, Stamina Regen Speed, Additional Damage, Max Health and Health Regen Speed. Allocating fully to damage competes with the stamina needed by this rotation for continued attacks, dashing back into range, repositioning and evasion. Health and regeneration help support consecutive boss fights and attempts on later floors of Ouwigahara Tower.
Raise Cryokinesis and War Fans mastery to unlock their important techniques. The skill tree includes the Cryokinesis node Bodhisattva and the node Cold White Princesses. Keep developing mastery and the tree alongside your weapon upgrades.
Use the boss rotation and stay in range
Cryokinesis and War Fans together supply seven distinct skills. Z immobilizes the target and B and V follow, while dashes bring the next strike back into range after knockback. The Saneri fight shows fast ice combos, frost bursts and dashes; the Obari fight shows hits with ice-infused fan blades.
This is an opening rotation, not a permanent lock. Earlier skills should begin returning by its end, but your next combination depends on cooldowns and the boss. Practice the spacing while farming with your current War Fans, then improve the weapon and the rest of the setup as the materials arrive.
Dash after knockback so the next skill reaches the boss instead of empty air.
Regular War Fans are enough to start learning the chain. The Firstlight upgrade can wait while you teach the boss that distance is a temporary arrangement.
