Get ready to hide in the bushes and bolt for the storm, as the terrifying slasher legend, Jason Voorhees, is officially bringing his unique brand of fright to the world of Fortnite.

Epic Games is about to release the skin of the most recognised masked killer from the Friday the 13th franchise into the Item Shop next Friday, October 17 (almost pun-tastic).

Jason Voorhees, infamous for stalking Camp Crystal Lake and wielding a deadly machete, is one of horror cinema’s most recognizable icons.

His arrival was anticipated, and he will be giving us a heavy dose of horror on the battle royale's typically vibrant island, perfectly timed for the spooky season.

The default outfit for the character will be based on his new look developed for the Jason Universe, a modern redesign of the horror character. Unlike some other licensed character releases, the initial appearance of Jason Voorhees will not include any additional edit styles referencing his various looks throughout the countless Friday the 13th films.

While the item shop price in V-Bucks is yet to be revealed, players should prepare their wallets for one of the most highly anticipated horror crossovers in Fortnite history.
