Even since Motorola rolled out Android Pie for Z2 Force users in Brazil, the wait has been agonizingly painful for our friends in the US. Thankfully, that changes today as Verizon just announced the Android 9 Pie for its Moto Z2 Force users.
Please note that the Pie update is limited to Verizon’s users only, as Motorola recently confirmed that they don’t plan to release it to Z2 variants as other carriers. Why only Verizon’s Z2 Force scores Android Pie is down to the fact that Pie is required to support 5G Moto Mod.
Anyway, it’s good to see the Android 9 update finally rolling out for the Verizon Moto Z2 users because it’s been almost a month since they announced the update.

With Android Pie, you get brings great new and exciting features like Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, Gesture Navigation, Digital Wellbeing, Dark mode, App Actions, App Slices, Easier Screen Rotation, improved DND mode, new Material design, etc.
Of course, you also get 5G Moto Mod support with Android Pie, the only reason the Verizon Z2 Force is receiving Pie update when other variants not. The security patch on the device is also updated to June 2019, which is both surprising and awkward as Verizon already announced the July update for the Z2 Force.
