Motorola announces Moto Z2 Force Android 9 Pie update with Verizon 5G Moto Mod support

Avatar

For those using the Moto Z2 Force on Verizon Wireless, the upcoming update may be the one to bring the much-awaited Android 9 Pie and all of its goodies.

According to a changelog published by Motorola U.S., support for 5G Moto Mod is also included in the update, although we can’t give you a specific date that it will begin rolling out.

The Moto Z3 got support for 5G Moto Mod with the update to Android Pie earlier this year, so it makes sense that the Pie update for the Moto Z2 Force is also adding support for this speedy network on the 2017 handset.

Again, we don’t know when Motorola intends to begin pushing this update to the Moto Z2 Force, but with the release notes live, it shouldn’t be long.
