Earlier this week, there were reports claiming that the Google Nexus 6 will be launched by Verizon Wireless on March 12. As speculated, the device has gone official and it is available for pre-order for a pricing of $249. The shipping of the ordered devices will debut on March 18.
Well, the Verizon Wireless subscribers can avail the Nexus 6 for $249 on a two-year contract. Also, the device is available without a contract for $649 and for $27.08 per month via the Verizon Edge program. Notably, the device includes the Verizon logo.
Verizon claims that the Black variant of the Nexus 6 is available, but Google announced the handset only in White and Blue options. We are yet to ascertain if the color option listed is really authentic to find if the Black variant is exclusive to Verizon.
Notably, the listing of the Nexus 6 via Verizon adds credibility to the previous rumors and speculations regarding the availability of the smartphone and it’s pricing from several sources. But, an earlier report claimed that the Nexus 6 will be based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system when it is launched via Verizon and the same remains unconfirmed.
