The first 5G-ready smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, is finally available for purchase on Verizon Wireless. The carrier will remain the exclusive carrier of the device for the next few weeks before the device begins selling through other operators.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S10 5G along with the standard Galaxy S10 family earlier this year, but since no carrier, including Verizon, was ready to receive the device, the release was scheduled for a later date, which has arrived.

Verizon has two memory options of 256GB and 512GB. The former costs $1300 outright or $54.16 per month for two years and the latter costs $1400 outright or $58.33 per month over the same period.

As expected, the Big Red has included some offers to spice up the deal. If you switch to Verizon on any Unlimited plan, a $200 prepaid MasterCard will be waiting for you. With an eligible device, you can get up to $450 off the S10 5G when you trade it in within 30 days after checking out.

Note that you can either buy the Galaxy S10 5G online or pick one right away from a Verizon store near you. The phone can be had in either Majestic Black or Crown Silver.

Just so you know, the Galaxy S10 5G already has a software update rolling out with the latest May 2019 security patches, bug fixes, and performance improvements. The OTA should come in once you boot up the phone and connect it to the internet.
