Verizon Wireless has started taking pre-orders for the $1,300-priced Samsung Galaxy S10 5G with shipping scheduled for May 16th. In readiness for the arrival of the first 5G phone, the carrier will soon begin rolling out 5G network in at least 20 of the 30+ cities it had promised earlier in February 2019.
Back then, Verizon didn’t mention any specific names of these cities, but Droid-Life claims to have accessed reliable information about the names of 20 of these cities with a “Coming soon” release date.
The carrier had already started rolling out 5G earlier this month, but this was only spotted in Chicago and Minneapolis. But in the coming weeks, the service should also be available in the following U.S. cities:
- Atlanta
- Boston
- Charlotte
- Cincinnati
- Cleveland
- Columbus
- Dallas
- Denver
- Des Moines
- Detroit
- Houston
- Indianapolis
- Kansas City
- Little Rock
- Memphis
- Phoenix
- Providence
- Salt Lake City
- San Diego
- Washington
For now, all we know is that 5G is coming soon to these cities, but there’s no specific date. But since we know that the Galaxy S10 5G begins shipping on May 16th, it’s possible that the network will roll out in these cities before then.
In other news, Verizon has also confirmed that the Galaxy Note 10 will support 5G when it arrives later this year.
