The OnePlus 5 hype train is starting to roll now, full steam ahead. OnePlus India has released a teaser video on Twitter showing off many celebrities receiving a OnePlus suitcase containing something special. Well, you already know what it is. These celebrities are part of the OnePlus Star Community, where OnePlus intends to spread the message with a little help from their side.

The amount of advertising behind OnePlus’ flagships each year is pretty massive. Well that is to be expected anyway, as the OEM manufactures a very limited number of smartphones. Hopefully, we should be seeing the last of the annoying invite system to purchase the new flagship, but then there’s also a chance that it may not happen.
The OnePlus 5 also got its final official confirmation from OnePlus Twitter account today. Plus, we also saw price of the Indian variant leak out to start at INR 32,999 (approx. $515). The device is slated to come with improved audio system for recording clearer sound even in noisy settings such as concerts.

Come June 22 and we’ll get to see the OnePlus 5 become a reality with its official launch in India. Everyone has been on their toes for quite a while now, as the OnePlus 5 is the first real upgrade over the OnePlus 3. The OnePlus 3T served as an incremental performance upgrade and didn’t really bring anything new to the table. We’d love to see how the upcoming flagship will fare against the current giants, the Galaxy S8, LG G6 and the new Essential Phone.
