It’s unofficially confirmed now that the Galaxy Note will be showing up on T-Mobile in the near future, thanks to a live photo of the T-Mobile Galaxy Note leaked by TmoNews. Not only that, the phone (or phoneblet or whatever it is the Note is called) can be seen on running Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3 which should come as good news specially considering that the original Note as well as the AT&T branded version are still running on Gingerbread.
As rumored in the previous leak regarding the T-Mobile Galaxy Note by TmoNews, it will be having the model number of SGH-T879 as confirmed by the photo above. The phone also has a different button layout, with 4 capacitive buttons replacing the two capacitive and one hardware keys on the original Note. Also, one would hope that since the T879 is running on ICS, its release should see the international version getting updated to ICS as well, but that remains to be seen.
Though arriving pretty late to the party, the T-Mobile Galaxy Note should still sell really well because frankly, it’s still a one of a kind device specially when you want a great browsing and multimedia experience, thanks to the big 5.3″ Super AMOLED screen. Let’s see though, only time will tell.
