Sony most recent smartphones have gone under the radar since the company has not been able to keep up with the offerings from other Android OEMs such as Samsung, OnePlus, and Huawei.
Now, Sony’s set to launch its flagship device which would be the Xperia XZ4. There have been several rumors hinting towards a tall display on the device and now a leaked image of the device has surfaced on the Chinese website sumahoinfo which allegedly shows off the Xperia XZ4’s 21:9 display.
This would be the first smartphone to feature a bizarre 21:9 aspect ratio display making it one of the tallest Android smartphones. We’re unsure if Sony would be bringing any software changes to take advantage of the tall display.
Much like any other flagship launch this year, we do expect to see the device come with the Snapdragon 855 chipset paired with 6-8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The device should be running Android Pie right off the bat.
There’s no indication towards an in-display fingerprint sensor on the device hence, the device might have a fingerprint sensor within the power button itself.
As of now, nothing has been officially confirmed by Sony hence we’d suggest taking the above information with a grain of salt. Sony might be launching the device at MWC this year in Barcelona.
