Samsung is rolling out new updates to a number of its less popular devices namely Galaxy J3 2017, Galaxy A7 2017 and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 from 2016.

Apart from the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016, the other two updates being released to the Galaxy J3 2017 and A7 2017 are based on Android Oreo, with Samsung having updated the duo to the newer OS earlier in the year. As for the Tab A, the Oreo update is scheduled for later this year, but for now, you’ll have to make do with the latest Android security patch for the month of October 2018.

The update has software version T585XXS4BRI1 for the Tab A, J330FNXXS3BRJ1 for the J3 2017, and A720FXXU6CRJ5 for the A7 2017. All three updates are airborne, meaning it’ll take a few days before an OTA download notification shows up on your device, so be patient.

Alternatively, you can try forcing the update via the device’s Settings menu and click on Check for updates to install the latest software manually.
