However, like every other device on the market, the Note 10 duo, too, has its fair share of bugs and quirks. In this section, we’ll take a look at some of the Note 10 issues users have encountered, and maybe help you navigate through rough water.

No 3D Scanner App
Note 10 Plus’ Depth Vision camera is one of the device’s standout features. It doesn’t have many applications at this point, but the ability to 3D scan an object is nothing short of awe-inducing. Surprisingly, many users haven’t been able to find the 3D Scanner app to use the feature. If you, too, are frustrated with the oversight, there might be a solution for you.
Step 1: Sideload the 3D Scanner app.
Step 2: Open Bixby Vision.
Step 3: Slide over to apps and access.
Galaxy Note 10+ Signal Issues
Maintaining a steady connection for making and receiving calls is one of the pre-requisites of any smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is an impeccable device in its own right, but many users have been enduring signal reception issue and frequently dropped calls.
Users have restarted their device multiple times and even performed multiple factory resets, but the issue hasn’t been eradicated, so far. Samsung could roll out an update in the future, but for the time being, there’s no option than to stay put.
Linux on DeX not supported on Note 10
The Samsung DeX one of Galaxy flagship devices’ standout features. It allows you to run all your standard Android apps in a desktop-like environment. Running Linux on a mobile isn’t a new idea, but DeX actually makes it worth the ‘hassle.’ As per Samsung’s official website, Linux on DeX is currently supported on select Android Pie devices, and surprisingly, the company’s current flagships, the Note 10 duo, hasn’t been included.
Users are disappointed with Samsung’s treatment, with many claiming that Note 10’s DeX functionality was one of the main reasons why they chose to migrate in the first place. Samsung hasn’t revealed a rollout date or even whether they are working on bringing the functionality to the devices, but given how frustrated users are, don’t be surprised to see an official announcement sooner than later.
Possible solution: None (so sorry!)
Note 10 Activation Error
When you purchase a $1000-device, activating the device should be the least of your concerns. Sadly, many Note 10 buyers have been having a hard time activating their device. From Sprint to AT&T and every other carrier in between, it’s been an epidemic, and Samsung’s trying its best to propose an acceptable solution.
Possible solution:
If you, too, are dealing with something similar, there are few steps you could perform to potentially get rid of the problem.
Step 1: Insert your new SIM Card into your Note 10. Make sure it’s powered on.
Step 2: Go to Samsung’s official website — Samsung.com. Log in using the same credentials you used to place the order. Click on My Account, situated the top left corner of the page.
Step 3: Scroll down to Carrier Activation section and click Continue. Click Carrier Activation.
Step 4: Go through and complete the prompts. You have successfully activated your Note 10 device.
Only 8 Languages on Samsung Keyboard
Like every other Samsung Galaxy smartphone, the Note 10 brothers, too, run the Samsung Keyboard, by default. The keyboard isn’t bad by any means, but it does come with its fair share of quirks.
On the Note 10, the keyboard seems to have only eight additional languages, which, as you’d expect, excludes a number of other primary languages. Frustrated with the issue, users have already contacted Samsung to get rid of the problem for good. The South Korean OEM has acknowledged that it is a known issue and can’t be fixed until a Samsung Keyboard update comes out. The company is yet to announce a tentative release date.
Possible solution: None (so sorry!)
Lack of Hard Press Home Button
Up to the Galaxy Note 9/S9 devices, Samsung used to bundle in an invisible home button, allowing you to go home by long-pressing even when the screen was off. If you’re coming from a previous-gen Galaxy device, you’re likely to find Samsung’s new configuration a bit underwhelming.
The company has gotten rid of the invisible Home button on the S10/Note 10 lineup, probably due to the in-display fingerprint reader. Getting rid of such a celebrated feature hasn’t sat well with most users, with many claiming Samsung should have thought twice before removing it.
Order canceled?
Upon unveiling 2019’s final Samsung flagship, enthusiasts flocked the official website, trying to pre-order the devices. Most users managed to place their orders successfully, but later, Samsung selectively canceled some of them, without any explanations. If you’ve been a victim of discrimination, you’re advised to contact Samsung’s e-commerce section.
Received only $300 credit only instead of $600
If you are wondering why your $600 credit was reduced to $300 on Galaxy Note 10 purchase, Samsung’s only giving away the full credit if and only if you purchase the unlocked variant.
