Images of a Samsung 4G android phone, codenamed SCH-I520 and running android 2.2.1, leaked out today with the Verizon markup on its head.
Verizon 4G network is live and kicking well on modem based surfing. But the biggest carrier in US lacked mobile phones — android, windows phone 7 or iPhone — which could put capacity of the big red’s 4G network to some real stringent tests. Come 2011, Verizon, it seems has already listed some of the best android phones — we just heard about one from the Samsung, codenamed as SCH-i520.
The device we got picture of runs on the android 2.2.1 (that’s Froyo). We don’t know anything about release date, but if this device launches sometime in March or April, we would definitely want android 2.3 (aka Gingerbread) right from day one. Who want’s to trust Samsung software guys, anymore?
