Asus recently started rolling out the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Zenfone 4 smartphone. This is their current flagship and soon other devices in the series should also start getting the Oreo update. There’s another good news for Zenfone 4 users.

Power users will want to root their Asus Zenfone 4 to get the most out of it. And even though it’s only been a few days since the Oreo update was released for the device, it is now possible to gain root access using Magisk.

If you want to root the device, you will have to download a modified boot.img and flash that. Once you’re done with that, you will need to flash the latest TWRP recovery, and finally, you can flash the latest Magisk as well. Now, you will have root access.

How to root Android 8.0 Oreo with SuperSU zip or Magisk

You can follow this link to get the required files for doing this. The instructions are available in the link as well and it doesn’t take long to gain root access on the Zenfone 4. Once again, this is to gain root on the device after updating to Android Oreo.
