The launch of Google’s latest flagship devices, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, garnered a lot of media and consumer attention because of all new features like call screen, top shot, and more. The phones are even being offered at a huge $200 discount on Best Buy. However, the Google Pixel 3 phone is now in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Many users have reported issues with the phone’s audio quality, random overheating, and several other bugs. However, the biggest one that’s only recently coming into the fore is the flickering display which experts say can be an issue concerning the ambient display of the phone.
A user on Reddit posted a video of his Pixel 3 phone’s flickering display that signals toward a major issue with the phone’s display hardware. Many other users replied to the original poster with the same complaint and some even claimed that Google has replaced their device with a new one. However, there is no official word from Google regarding the defective display and whether they’re willing to provide a replacement.

It may be recalled that a similar incident had taken place last year after Pixel 2 XL was released. However, back then the issue was resolved through an OTA software update. It remains to be seen whether this time around it’s faulty hardware or a software glitch that’s causing the issue and how Google negotiates this curveball.
