Dead Island 2 offers solo play and three-player online co-op
Dead Island 2 is a first-person action RPG set in a zombie-infested Los Angeles. You explore locations including Beverly Hills and Venice Beach, take on quests, meet survivors, and fight with an assortment of melee weapons.
You choose from six Slayers with different personalities and dialogue. The skill system lets you change your build immediately, while distinct zombie types and a detailed dismemberment system shape the combat.
You can play alone or join online co-op with up to three players, with PS Plus required for online play. PS5 and PS4 Pro players can host and join sessions. Standard PS4 players can join sessions, but a session they host supports only one joining player, making it a two-player session.
The store lists PS5 Pro Enhanced support, along with DualSense vibration and trigger effects. Dead Island 2 originally launched on April 21, 2023; its Standard Edition is currently listed at $41.99 in the US, compared with its $69.99 launch price.
The store sells the Haus and SoLA expansions separately for $6.99 and $9.99, respectively. An Expansion Pass is also listed at $15.99.
Dead Island 2 previously joined the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium members in October 2024. Its November 2026 Monthly Games appearance makes it available to Essential members as well.
On September 9, 2025, Deep Silver and Dambuster announced that Dead Island 2 had reached more than 20 million players worldwide. Dambuster also confirmed that work was underway on the next chapter in the series.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered collects Lara’s next three adventures
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered brings together the Darkness Trilogy as a single-player collection with offline play. Released on February 14, 2025, it costs $29.99 on the US store and includes both PS4 and PS5 versions.
The collection contains three games:
- Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation follows Lara into an Egyptian tomb, where she accidentally releases the god Set and triggers an ancient prophecy.
- Tomb Raider: Chronicles revisits episodes from Lara’s past through the memories of her friends after she is presumed dead.
- Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness makes Lara a murder suspect and fugitive as she investigates a conspiracy involving alchemy and ancient artifacts.
You can switch between the original polygonal graphics and the remastered visuals at any time. The adventures take Lara through locations including Cairo, Rome, and Paris.
The store lists seven accessibility features:
- Separate volume controls.
- Basic subtitles for the main story and main characters.
- Basic controller remapping or alternate control presets.
- Support for playing without motion controls.
- Support for playing without touch controls.
- Pausing during offline gameplay and cinematics.
- Manual save points.
The PS5 listing marks controller vibration as required. Cloud streaming on PS5 and PS Portal is supported with a Premium subscription.
April 2026’s monthly lineup included Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. Members who claimed that collection can add the following trilogy in November.
Monster Train 2 brings single-player deckbuilding to PS5
Monster Train 2 is a strategy deckbuilding roguelite for one player. Former angels and demons form an alliance against the Titans, who have taken control of Heaven, sending you on train journeys through Hell, Heaven, and the Abyss.
You build strategies around five new clans and defend three vertical levels against attacking enemies. Recruiting units, upgrading cards, and experimenting with combinations are central to surviving each run.
The PS5 version launched on May 21, 2025, and is listed at $24.99 in the US. Online play is optional. The store also sells the Destiny of the Railforged add-on for $9.99 and a Monster Train Collection bundle for $44.99.
Is PS Plus November 2026 worth it for you?
November’s selection covers different ways to play: Dead Island 2 supplies first-person combat and online co-op, Tomb Raider offers solo exploration across three adventures, and Monster Train 2 focuses on repeatable card-based strategy. PS4 owners get access to the first two, while PS5 owners can play the full lineup.
For review context, Dead Island 2 has a PS5 Metascore of 73. Monster Train 2 has a PC Metascore of 87; its PS5 version has too few reviews for a score. That PC score applies to a different platform.
Essential includes the same November monthly games as Extra and Premium. The higher tiers become relevant if you also want their catalog or streaming benefits. Monthly Games access depends on an active membership, so weigh that ongoing requirement against the listed purchase prices.
Add October’s games before their claim period ends on Monday, November 2, 2026. F1 25 and Hunt: Showdown 1896 are available on PS5; Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 supports PS5 and PS4.
November’s claim window runs from Tuesday, November 3, through Monday, November 30, 2026. Dead Island 2 and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered support PS4 and PS5, while Monster Train 2 is PS5 only.

FAQs
Can I keep playing November’s games after November 30?
Yes. Add them to your library during November 3–30, 2026, and they remain playable while your PlayStation Plus membership is active.
Can a standard PS4 host three-player Dead Island 2 co-op?
A standard PS4 can host only one joining player, so its hosted sessions support two players in total. It can join co-op sessions hosted by PS5 or PS4 Pro players, which support up to three players.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my PS Plus tier?
To upgrade to Extra or Premium, buy membership at that level and pay a prorated fee covering the remainder of your paid period.
To downgrade on PS4 or PS5, visit Account Settings, then Subscriptions Management. On the web, sign in to your PlayStation account and visit Subscriptions Management. The lower tier takes effect when your existing prepaid period ends.
