Sitting right at the top on the home screen, the ‘At a Glance’ widget on the Pixel launcher has remained more or less unchanged over time. But lately, in the wake of a massive UI overhaul of Android 12, this widget is getting a few extra preference options, the latest of which includes the ability to turn off the Weather.

The ‘At a Glance’ widget already has options to toggle on/off Reminders, Work profile, Calendar Events, and Weather alerts as widget preferences, the last of which has been one of the recent additions. Here’s how you can turn off the Weather in the ‘At a Glance’ widget.

To turn off the weather in ‘At a Glance’, you’ll have to access its preferences. For this, tap and hold the widget and then choose Preferences.

This will take you to the ‘At a Glance’ page where you will find the option to toggle off the Weather. Simply tap on it to turn it off.

This page is also accessible from the Assistant Settings page, under Personalization. With the weather turned off, you will see the day and date take centerstage and the widget gets a cleaner aesthetic.

This new ‘At a Glance’ weather toggle is going to be a welcome addition for those who like placing widgets on their home screen or use a different weather app.

Do note that this new toggle is rolling out on the Google app version 12.22, which is currently in the beta testing phase.
