A little over a fortnight ago, OnePlus rolled out a huge OxygenOS 5.1.6 update to OnePlus 5 and 5T. Besides installing a new Android security patch, it also installed Project Treble support.
Even more interesting is that the v5.1.6 update also came with fixes for Bluetooth issues resulting from the previous update, but apparently, it seems it came with some more Bluetooth issues of its own. Now, to take care of this, presumably once and for all, OnePlus 5 and 5T are receiving a new OxygenOS 5.1.7 update that fixes connectivity issues for cars.

This is a hotfix, so don’t expect much other than the said fix. It’s coming in over the air for both devices, meaning it will take some time before all units get the OTA notification. You may try forcing the update, but this is only if you can’t be a little bit more patient.
