OnePlus promised that users of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have only the release date to worry about as far as Android 9 Pie update is concerned, making the duo the only devices over two years old confirmed to receive the Pie update, their third major OS upgrade. Until then, the company will be sending your way plenty of minor updates meant to keep the devices more secure as well as fix minor bugs – updates like the latest OxygenOS 5.0.6 that has just started rolling out.

OnePlus has confirmed that OxygenOS 5.0.6 is now available for download for OnePlus 3 and 3T users and it brings along the latest Android security patch for the month of September 2018. In the changelog, OnePlus also notes that this update fixes bugs and improves general system stability.

Having just started rolling out Android 9 Pie to OnePlus 6, it may take quite some time before OxygenOS 9.0 makes it to the OnePlus 3 and 3T, especially since it has to go through OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T first.
