Optus Australia has just revealed their Android Oreo release plans for some of the smartphones in their line-up. The HTC 10, U11, Huawei P10 Plus, and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium have been confirmed to get an upgrade to Oreo, but you will have to wait a few more weeks or months.

The carrier updated their Android Software Updates page for its devices, and added notes for certain phones regarding the Oreo update. The listed phones are carrier locked variants, and only Optus users would receive this update.

The HTC 10 will receive a beta Oreo update in late January or early February 2018. The software would begin testing during that is what they’re saying here. For the HTC U11 and the Huawei P10 Plus(Pro), the beta Oreo build should arrive later this month.

Android 8.1 update released

Finally, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium would be seeing an Oreo beta update arrive very soon, as the page says it’s currently on hold. The unlocked variant of the XZ Premium has already started receiving the Oreo update.
