To get you started with May, OnePlus has a new OxygenOS Open Beta update available for your OnePlus 6, 6T, OnePlus 5 or 5T. The four are receiving the same update with improvements and optimizations to the system, Quick Reply, and community.
The previous Open Beta updates added support for Quick Reply in landscape mode. In the latest version, more instant messaging apps now support this feature. Also, the update fixes the issue where apps get paused when using quick reply in landscape mode.
OnePlus has also included a warning for when the display is overheating, a new UI for system updates, an optimized search experience with a new search field and grouped search results, improved UI for the Social page, and optimized Log recording in Bug Report section.
Users of OnePlus 6 and 6T in India also have one more thing – a new Intelligent cleanup feature in the File Manager. Yea, you probably already guessed what this does.
All four handsets are receiving the new updates over the air. The updates are arriving as Open Beta 17 for OnePlus 6, Open Beta 9 for the 6T, Open Beta 31 for OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 29 for the 5T.
